Tiger Woods

Tiger Woods was born Eldrick Tont Woods on December 30th 1975 in Cypress, California.

Tiger is a childhood nickname, that he got from his father who had a friend he knew in the army named Vuong Dang Phong that also had that nickname, Tiger's dad decided to give is son the same nickname in honor of him.

Tiger Woods father Earl, pushed golfing on Tiger Woods at a young age. It paid of Young Tiger was a golfing prodigy at the age of 3. Young Tiger Woods even played against Bob Hope on The Mike Douglas Show. At age 5 he was already appearing in Golf Digest, at age 8 he won the Jr World Golf Championships at the youngest age bracket he could enter 9-10.

at the age of 15 Tiger Woods become the youngest U.S. Junior Amateur Champion ever and in 1991 he won that title again and become that tournaments first multi-winner.

In 1994 Tiger Woods become a student at Standford and played on their golfing team as he majored in economics.


in 1996 Tiger Woods went pro, Tiger Woods first round as a professional golfer was the Greater Milwaukee Open. Right out of the gate Tiger made headlines and got early endorsement deals (Nike at $40 million and Titleist at $20 million)

Tiger then went on to play the Master, he won with a score under 18 pair and only 12 strokes.

Since then Tiger has pretty much dominated the game of golf. Yes in 03 and 04 he was out shadowed a bit but Tiger quickly tweaked his game and was on top.

Tiger Woods maybe the most popular golfer in history and has done more to make the sport mainstream, then any golfer in recent times. Heck even with Tiger Woods' recent scandal he is bring attention to the game of golf that the sport wouldn't get before (who knew golf at groupies)

Tyler Perry mother has passed

Tyler Perry, producer, writer, actor and business person, has recently lost his mother.


Tyler's mother Willie Maxine Perry was one of the main people Tyler Perry based his character Madea on.

Hill Harper

Hill Harper was born Francis Harper on May 17th 1966 in Iowa City, Iowa.

Hill is Hill Harper's mother's maiden name and he took that has his stage name to show her side of his family as much respect and honor as his fathers.

Both of Hill Harper's parents are doctors, in fact his mother was one of the first African-American anesthesiologists.


Hill Harper started acting at the age of 7.

Hill Harper went to Brown Univeristy for under grad and then went to Harvard for law school and to get is MPA (Master of Public Administration) while going to Harvard Hill Harper also acted in Boston's Black Folks Theater Company.

Hill Harper first acting role in the TV and Film world was on Married...with Children, where he played recurring character Aaron Mitchell. Two years later Hill Harper was in Spike Lee's Get on the Bus.


Hill Harper has had pretty a study acting career apearing in such films as Steel, The Skulls, In too Deep, He Got game, Hav Plenty, Loving Jezebel, Love, Sex and eating all the Bones, Mama I want to sing, Woman Thou Art Loosed, Lackawanna Blues and many other films.

and Hill Harper was in the TV shows Soul Food, City of Angels, The Sopranos and The 4400.

In 2006 Hill Harper co-starred and co-wrote the short film Max and Josh.
